In the UK and the world over, 2022 has been a difficult year for many people. That’s why we wanted to give something back this year.
Beyond our commitment to publishing great magazines, we value kindness and goodwill at the heart of our company’s identity.
We have therefore held several events in our office this year to raise both awareness and donations for two brilliant charities that help people in the UK.
The National Autistic Society
This Halloween, our team spent the day dressed up in fun costumes and shared a buffet lunch, all while raising nearly £400 for the National Autistic Society.
The phenomenal staff and volunteers at the National Autistic Society encourage businesses, local authorities and governments towards implementing autism-friendly laws, services and public spaces.
Their work also involves changing public attitudes towards autism through education and awareness campaigns, in addition to offering support to autistic people and their families.
We believe society should be an accepting and welcoming place for everyone, and are glad to see our donations go towards the charity’s continued efforts towards creating a society that works for the 70,000+ autistic adults and children living in the UK.

The Salvation Army
This December, our team at Greydoor Publishing decided to donate to The Salvation Army’s fantastic Christmas Present Appeal – a campaign to ensure no child goes without a present on Christmas morning.
More than 2,000 families living in the Blackpool area reached out to The Salvation Army’s appeal for help this Christmas. This is a heart-breaking reflection of the financial struggles that local families are experiencing, this year more than ever. We wanted to do whatever we can to relieve some of the pressure parents and carers are facing during what can be the most difficult time of year.
Together, we donated books, clothing, beauty products, and a total of 149 toys.
Visiting the donation centre was an emotional and humbling experience for our team. We saw first-hand the incredible effort of the volunteers, and heard inspiring stories of local adults and children who have been getting involved to help those most in need.
Our team is proud of the work we have done this year, and pledge to continue our efforts to be charitable, spread kindness, and raise awareness as we move into the new year.
